Fire and Dusk.
Close my eyes and breath
In the scent of the fire
A powerful scent indeed
Incline to send us beyond our imagination
As we sit
Upon the balcony
With the setting sun
The deepening blue sky about us
Queen Iris spreading her arms out
To envelope us
With Sister Dusk
As we speak of life and love and other such things
A whisper
of smoke
A beauty
Intended to seduce
I inhale the sweet scent
I inhale you into
Me
As we speak of life and love and other such things
And laugh together
Into the deepening dusk.

I sat in the grass with you
We smiled at one another
As we made daisy chains
Butterflies flew above us
The sun shone down warm upon our arms
My foot upon your lap
Our lips warm upon one another's
Our arms around one another
Soft and warm under the sunshine
Lie back in the grass
Let me tell you
How much I love you
Let me give my heart to you
And let you do as you will with it
Sweet love-soakened stupor
Senses assulted by the scent of roses, poppies and irises
Butterflies and flowers and wind
A dream in a pool of sunshine
My head against your heart
Your arms around my shoulders
As you whisper words like tender caresses into my ears
I don't want to go anywhere
I want to stay here with you.

A glitterati of brilliant stars
Upon her night-black hair
Five silver bracelets around his arms
Twisting glittering serpents
Fire and water creatures
They sit upon the earth
Their hair is the night sky
They watch the earth
The mother and father of a new world
They are the king and queen of a new kingdom
They sit and watch
Ona is her name
Her delight is in humans
Her favourite thing to watch and play
Ashi is his name
His sceptre holds the sun
He dashes it across the sky every day
Together they make up the sky and the stars
The sun and the wind
And all in between
Ona and Ashi
Created out of the universe
Here to rule us all
They know they can never touch us
They wish not either
Ona and Ashi only wish to watch
Heroes come and go
Heroines live and die
Yet Ona and Ashi remain
The world is theirs
The earth is their heart
They live on forever.

We screamed out into the night together
We stayed up all night smoking together
And where are you now?
You and I
And all our friends
Separated by oceans apart
We used to scream out into the night together
Ribbons of light passing us by
Sounds of laughter and people
Wild surges of memory
Talking the everlasting philosophy
Of youth and infinity
And now where are we?
Tossed into the world like pearls
Before thy swine! Take up thy sword!
A drink of champagne
A toast to youth
An eternal heart of love
Treasured knowledge of life
And now where we are
Like pearls before the swine
We are now brought upon judgment to make or break
We have our own paths
But our own blood connects us
And calls us back across the ocean
Sing out loud and I will answer you
Once we scream out into the night together
