Hurt
Hurt
And fed up
When you've hurt your arm in the same spot twice
And it really hurts
And it's physical
And then there's mental
Maybe you've hurt your heart in the same spot twice
Or maybe you're just hurt
And reeling
From humiliation
And you don't know what to do
Or how to salvage your soul
Or you're just hurt
Hurt from anything
Hurt from everyone
Hurt from yourself
What do you do to save and salvage your soul?
Your innocence's been crushed
And you don't know how to salvage it
You don't know what to do
It's kinda hard to salvage the pieces
You can't stop
feeling
hurt
I just want to take refuge
Somewhere safe
But there's nowhere
from the pain of the hurt.

I tilt my head back and look up at the moon
I smoke my cigarette and had a cup of juice
The dark casts shadows against the wall
Mushrooms grow in fertile night in the ground
Water drips into a pool of rocks
We watch the ballet leap and fall
The people laugh and run
And tonight I will sit and
wait for the ghosts to come.

Grief.
Red and pink and white flower petals fell down from the blue sky
Slowly drifting down over the funeral
It is a beautiful day
And you feel a sense of some presence from far above
And it's close by
How do you feel these emotions?
How did they get so intense?
And how do you understand something like this when you have never
felt it
before?
And it's like that day when everything turned cold and gray and dark
And you thought nothing would ever be all right
But everything would be some day
You just remember
And keep them alive in that small flame of your own life
And just go on in this world.
