Separating Sunshine
Sunshine falling over my face
Dreams shimmering within my mind
Look out at the sun shining over the water
It's shimmering with dreams
Are we leaving now
It's been a long time
So long yet so short
All this while I've been here
Short yet long, like sun rays playing over my hand
Sing with me now
By the waterside
Hold me in your arms
As we dance to the music
Playing over the quay
Pass me the bottle
And the pipe
And we'll just sit here and let the world pass us by
It's all right to just sit here with me
We won't let anyone disturb us
For the next few minutes
Or hours
Of time slipping by
Like sun-warmed grains of sand
So we'll all wait
By the sea
